ok I have Nortan Anti / MS spaware beta / and i use Micro Trend..
i still have spy ware!!.. i constantly have random pop ups.. i scan and scan.. keeps saying removed.. or nothing.. i updated all..

Why don't you install SpywareBlaster? That works very well....Note that it is not a "remover", so to say.... it "prevents" a lot of junk from reinstalling itself in your pc. Of course nothing is foolproof, but it is very effective though.

install and run spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
then:
1) go into your msconfig and uncheck all the programs you don't want to run. ( start>Run> and type msconfig then click the startup tab.) 2) go to add and remove programs and remove unwanted programs that may have been installed without your knowledge.
3) delete unwanted folders in your C:\program files folder.
4) go into your registry to HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/current version/run and HKCU/software/microsoft/windows/current version/run and delete any keys you dont want to execute at start up.
