Comment:

I have a epson cx3200 and the spoolsv.exe is slowing my comp to a crawl by eating 90% of my cpu.I saw a possible fix for this was to either uninstall service pack 2 or copy spoolsv from longhorn and install on my copy of XP.

Are there any other solutions to this ?
thanks & bye
Tom

thanks for the reply. I have tried all the obvious things such as a trojan and checking the latest drivers etc. A google search for spoolsv and cpu will reveal that thousands of people are also having the same problem, it is possibly a microsoft fault, ( or maybe its one of their "features"!) So i really need to try the uninstalling service pack 2 as i am running out of ideas. How do i uninstall serice packs ?

Also if anyone has any help for the ram eating spoolsv.exe please let me know as i am desperate.
thanks
bye
Tom

Do this:

1. Stop the Print Spooler service
2. Go to C:\Windows\system32\spool\Printers
3. Delete all the files in folder
4. Restart the Print Spooler service

Hope this works for you.
