My spoolsv.exe is using 99% CPU. I found an old message suggesting to remove the printer drivers and did to no avail. I just moved my HP printer to another computer and am using it through a network. Any ideas? Thanks!

could also be the Gaobot virus. I had that one and it also was using that file. In any case, you definatly have a virus. Do a scan like JohnW advised

I ran Norton and found no viruses. Now it's switching around to using up to 99% of System Idle Process or qbdagent.exe. The computer I'm networked to has started using 95-99% of System Idle Process. I'll try running one of the other virus software.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

I'm having a simillar problem in 2000. Mine started in explorer.exe and has moved to system idle process. I too ran a virus scan first time round and found a couple. However the problem persists and there are no viruses present now.

Help!
