splitt avi files into 2 sep. ones?

Is it possible to split my divx's into 2 separate files so that i can burn them? cuz some of them are like 730 mb! my burner doesnt seem to burn anything above 705 mb w/o a problem! it will burn but it wont access the disc afterwards, i just hear the rom spinning up and shuttng off a buunch of times... Is there a program out there to do this or do i just have to split it up into archives?

Also, you could try Easy Video Splitter (available as a trial version) from http://www.doeasier.org. It states it can split DivX to any specified size without re-encoding.

really i fit up to 734 on my yamaha burner using nero express, i save them and playback fine
as far as splitting thigns i use ULEAD VIDEO STUDIO for my needs
when it comes to that i like to use a dvd player that can playback VCD files then a movie will fit on one disc.
