Split screen / tile vertically, small annoyance

May 2, 2012 at 07:35:03
Specs: Windows XP, 1.8ghz/1GB
From the desktop, if I select a couple of programs from the taskbar with CTRL pressed down, then right click and choose "tile vertically", I can get both programs to appear split screen on my monitor. This is very usual for me as I often need to have a media playing program and a PDF open at the same time in this way.

However, the media playing program always opens on the left hand side and the PDF program always opens on the right hand side (I need them the other way around). I thought this may simply be an alphabetical program name thing, but even after changing the names of the .exe files, it's still the same.

I know I can just move the windows around, but it gets on my nerves having to position them exactly every time I open them together, and was wondering if there is any way I can do the split screen thing with the programs opening automatically on the side I'd prefer?

Thanks for any help.

Click on the PDF first & then Ctrl on > media playing program
