Please advise on a spell checker or OE6 that is seam less. That is one that doesn't require any user operation.

You could make a mail rule that only allows email from people in your address book to be recieved in your inbox. You can then create a new folder called Spam and have all other mail delivered to that box. You can always check the Spam box to see if you want to keep any of the mail. It's not seemless, but it's hard for the server to determine what's Spam and what's not.

Yes, any Spam filter is going to require some user intervention. Set it to high and you could end up deleting wanted mail. Set it to low and Spam gets through.

Every users requirements are different and what could be Spam to one could be a vitally important Email to another. The best Spam filters just cannot tell the difference, you have to teach it through a processes called training. Once it is trained then there is little user intervention but you have to train it first.

Yea, spam is a moving target. If you filter one way the spammers soon figure how to get past that one. If you have a paid email account you get more filtering options.

Also, spammers cull email addresses from anywhere they are posted in the open. For instance placing your email address in a response here can get you on a list. Bots troll for working addresses constantly. And those free offers you receive come with spam at no charge.
