how do i specify user not inside my computer to access certain folder through the network. I've tried to add user that can access certain folders using folder option, but i can only do so with username in my computer. When i click location, only my computer is shown, but i wish to share certain folders with certain user in the network, how do i search for them through the folder option.

You need to log onto the non-xp machine with a user name that was created on the xp machine. If you are not using a password you'll need to go to Ctrl Pnl\Admin Tools\Local Security Policy\Local Policies\Security Options\ and disble the "Account: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only".
Of course you'll need to make sure the user is included in the folder permissions.
