As aegis1 suggested, questions on Excel are best asked in the Office Software Forum, you'll get a better response.

That being said...

Conditional Formatting is what you are looking for.
As an example try this:

1st – Select cell B1

On the Menu Bar:

2nd - Format
3rd - Conditional Formatting
4th – Change “Cell Value is” to “Formula Is”
5th – Enter the formula:

=IF($A$1=10,TRUE,FALSE)

Sub Menu Format :
6th - Patterns
7th - Choose Green
8th - Press OK
9th - Press OK

Next drag the formula across the first row for five cells up to Column G.

Now, when you enter 10 in cell A1 all of your selected cells should turn green.
