Yesterday I was prompted to download and install XP sp2 so I did. Since then My computer has been a mess. My BF 1942 and Medal of Honor games barely work. Gamespy crapped out. All seeing Eye is no longer working. Maxthon (my default browser) no longer works. Its predecessor MYIE2 does work though. Every program hangs before opening.

Is there an uninstall/rollback option for sp2? Will System restore undo all the changes without causing a big mess?

I need help in the worst kind of way.

TY

I've had a very similar experince installing SP2. I've followed every instruction to uninstall it, but that process hangs and never gets out of "Inspecting Current Configuration." Neither rollback nor system restore functions work any longer on the computer. When contacting MS, through friends who actually work there, they all seems surprised and mystified that anyone was having problems with SP2. My conclusion is to reinstall XP and rebuild my system.
