Comment:
hello , I am yet to install SP2 . I ahve a good firewall , anti-spyware and anti-virus etc
Now my friend had major issues with SP2 and he had to basically re-build his computer
So I have two questions.
1) What programs/things are in-compatitble with SP2 or that may cause problems.
2)My friend has installed SP2 via the CD version , he claims that this is the better (in that it does not screw up your computer) SP2 than that of the one that is available for download , is this true?

As long as you have the firewall, AV, and spyware protection you mentioned, you do not need SP2. You can safely wait 6 months or so for the bugs to be worked out. As for your specific questions: 1: Microsoft have a list of incompatible software. 2: Any data being transferred over the internet has the potential to become corrupted. So, yes, the CD version would be the best route to go.
