Ok about 2 weeks ago when SP2 came out i installed it and when it rebooted it came up to a nice blue screen of death. Knowing it was probaly due to adaware, other programs or something i just decided today to completely reformat and reinstall windows. Which i did and it ran, and the first thing i did was run windows update install recommended windows updates (like 4) until SP2 was next to downloaded. It installed and then restarted my machine. It loads windows with the Welcome screen and gets to the point where i see the Hill/Sky background and stops doing whatever it needs to do to load explorer. I have no start bar, no desktop icons, nothing...i can ctrl-alt-dlt and can get just task manager. Why the hell is it doing this and is there a command i can run to get explorer to load so i can get things like a desktop and start bar. i installed SP2 on my laptop and my moms computer just fine why doesn't it work in my comp?

You might want to try Slip Streaming SP2. Then do a low level format and reinstall using the slip stream copy.

Try this. Boot in the safe mode. Go to c: dtive and rt click boot.ini and clear the read only box. Open the boot.ini with notepad and edit the following. /noexecute=Optin to read /noexecute=AlwaysOff.
Reboot and see if this allows the completion of the boot. It's probably drwtsn.exe going active on the startup.
