sp2 download failure

Simply, when i go to windows update, try to download windows xp service pack 2. i click install. window comes up, i accept the agreement, then it says preparing for download, and then the download fails. doesnt say why. all other updates downloaded just fine. i just dont know here, no codes or anything to go on.
