Soundtrack out of synch when burnt

When burning movie files (mpeg 2) from pinnacle or Sonic onto DVD the soundtrack becomes progressively more out of synch with the video. ANy ideas please? WOrks fine before burning.

Are you capturing using a pinnacle card? Update pinnacle software. Look for constant bitrate settings. You might run the mpg2 file thru VirtualDub to see if it reports anything.

Besides the software issues that Oil Tan above referred to, you might consider
-Burning at a lower speed (even if it takes longer, lower speeds usually result it higher quality/less burning issues) -Purchasing higher-quality DVD writeable media
Also, when you begin the DVD burning process, be sure to completely CLOSE and EXIT all other open applications and windows. Also, you might try disabling your screen saver just for the DVD burning process. Lack of computer resources during Burning could be causing the issues.

Trying to encode and burn in one process causes this. NTSC to PAL does. Try making a SVCD.
