I have two sets of speakers and I want them both to be connected to my computer at the same time and to be able to switch between which ones I want enabled. Currently I'm using my Sound Blaster audigy 2 as the primary sound device and it works great, but I want to use my Asus K8V deluxe's integrated audio as well. (not both at the same time) I thought this would be as simple as installing the drivers for the integrated audio, (which appearantly is SoundMAX Cadenza AD1980, or so it says on the CD that came with my mobo) but at the end of the installation it tells me "Severe: Driver not found! Reboot your system, and run this setup again." I downloaded the drivers from Asus' website, but I get the same error message.I click OK and as many times as I reboot and try again it gives me the same message. I also read somewhere someone resolved the problem somehow with sound blaster live drivers, but I couldn't find any details of how to do this and couldn't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated, however this issue isn't Priority One.

ameobob, sounds to me like you simply need to point out to your machine which system it needs to use. Sound devices properrties? A-B switch (drivers?)?

have you enabled the on board sound device in BIOS?
Usually when an external sound card is used the on-board one has to be disabled in BIOS to avoid clash. Sometimes this is done automatically when you add a PCI sound card.
