Hi - Please Help.
The system -
XP Professional
P111 550mhz (MsNet)
40meg HD.
Nvidia Riva TNT
1X DVD CDR/RW
52speed CDR

I download a lot of music/ Mp3 stuff using Kazaa & WinMX. Windows media player never had any playback issues & i was quite a happy chappy UNTILL - one dark day, i found that i had 'blown up' my (onboard ESS Maestro) sound system. I popped off to my friendly retailer & picked up a new sound-card - a GameSurround MUSE with all the bits attached & a new pair of LabTech speakers as well.
I disabled my on-board sound stuff & slotted in my new goodies / plugged in the speakers. I didn't load ALL the shipped software but just the neccessary.
Problem - i believe that Win Media player may be conflicting / clashing with my new stuff. When i play music tracks in WMP - it sounds like i'm listening to it 'underwater'. It sounds horrendus !!! Terrible!!!
Is there a clash? / mismatch? or something?
My music plays just fine under Gamesurround Muse.
I do like WMedia player however - what's the use if it doesn't do the biz?

Thanks everyone -
SS.
