I found out that it is all my sound and music, but i know its not my speakers because they worked alright for ME, now that i have updated to XP the sound is all scratchy and bleeps, even the sound when i log onto my computer scratchys...its like it can;t handle playing sounds or music wen sumfink else is going on?? wot can i do??

I have the same problem too, no audio will play at all now. My motherboard is a asus k7v too and i have a Sound Blaster PCI128
and when i intalled the drivers avaliable and soundblaster but i have the same problem yet.
Do you know about this problem?

Go into the BIOS and load the "BIOS setup defaults". Save and reboot, it should sound fine after that.

Replace your soundcard and the problem is solved.
