I have Virtual PC 2007 SP1 installed on my XP Pro computer. I've installed the latest Windows 7 beta build in a virtual machine. I've also installed the Virtual Machine Additions. Windows 7 does not have sound. In fact, it doesn't recognize any audio devices as being present. Has anyone gotten sound to work in a Windows 7 virtual machine? -Ryan Adams

Haven't tried it, but have you tried adding a new hardware device in Virtual PC? "So won’t you give this man his wings

Yeah. Windows 7 doesn't even seem to "see" the virtual sound card. In other versions of Windows, I've seen it show up as an unidentified device in the device manager, but there isn't anything like that going on here, -Ryan Adams

Have you tried the windows update?? I have Win 7 virtual machine in VMWare, and did not have audio till after updates. One other interesting thing,I had to set up virtual IDE drive instead of the usual SCSI, set-up disk would not see it. Be Good, Robert

Updates did the trick. I didn't even think updates would be available for Windows 7 yet, but sure enough, 2 were. Thanks for the help.
