when i'm playing back a dvd my sound volume is very low where as it is very loud when playing a cd. it happens with what ever dvd software i use and i have changed all the settings to to there loudest with in the softwares settings and in control pannels. is there any thing else i can try? alex

try going into control panel and adjusting the sound settings for the dvd drive, also go into device manager and find the dvd drive then go into sound properties (or sumthing like that) and adjust it to the max.........the MAXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
