A while ago I dragged the sound recorder icon from the start menu onto my desktop for ease of access. however being new to xp @ the time, i was unaware dragging would physically move the item. I have since deleted the shortcut - and i'm unable to locate the .exe file to run sound recorder. If someone would share the location of the file, I would be most appreciative. Ty

Sound recorder is in the system 32 folder. To see it you will have to go to folder view options in the control panel and uncheck the box hide system files and then you can find the folder. If you want to run the program click on start and then run and type this in the run box and hit ok,

thanx. i must have checked thru all the windows folders twice! i'm supprised the folder containing the executable is hidden??

O.K. ...say for instance, the file was missing (or deleted!), how would one go about replacing the missing file??? ty
