Comment:

I recently got a PC from a friend, which worked fine for him, but when I tried to listen to music/play games etc there is no sound! I run Windows XP and in "sounds and audio devices" in the control panel it says "no audio device". Help!

Thanks
James

You need one sound cable from cdrom or dvdrom drive to sound card.Only one cable connected to any of the drives is required.Get a copy of AIDA 32 or Everest Home Edition free program to detetct the hardware including sound card on the computer. Some computers have no sound card.It could be the situation you have.If you find no sound card get a PCI based generic or better sound card.
