SOUND not working, HELP!

Powerspec / B6000

Specs: Windows XP
I'm quite frustrated considering I have tried everything, and nothing seems to work. My friend recently gave me a computer from his work, and the computer was reformatted, and I can't seem to get the sound working. I have tried various speakers/headsets, and checked the volumn to see if it is muted, and everything is functioning properly. I checked the sound driver, in the device manager, under " Sound, Video, and Game controller," and there is a driver installed, Realtek sound driver hd, that is functioning without any problems, no conflicts, enabled, and has a signature. I pressed "update," and the updates always say I have the latest version. I also have a Powerspec B600 computer, with Windows XP, went to thier website to find if my driver is compatiable with my computer, and I have the Realtek audio 5. something version that they have suggested for my computer, so its the correct driver for my computer..However.. I then installed the latest version from the Realtek audio website, and still the same problem. I have done all the troubleshooters..and nothing, everything seems to be functioning properly. The only wierd thing is when I check device manager, under "system devices," there is an option for "system speaker" which says no driver is installed, yet under "Sound, Video, and Game controller" it says a realtek sound driver is installed (and it's the default for playback) So, at this point, I just don't know what else to do, and how to locate the problem. PLEASE HELP!! It's driving me crazy to live without sound.

Hi there,

Realtech High Defination Audio driver normally needs Microsoft UAA bus driver to work properly . Try downloading that may be this can fix your sound problem.

Download Realtech drivers from here

and Microsoft UAA Bus driver from here

wait for few seconds to download to appear..

Best of luck
