How do I enable the use of sound in Safe Mode? It claims "no audio device" in the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties box in SM and doesn't seem to want to let me install one. I can listen to music in normal startup, but not in SM. Any way to fix this?
Oh, and while I'm thinking of it, there's an oddly long lag time between when I try to open a program and when it actually opens. Occasiolly, I have to open my Task Manager and end the procress tree of a lot of programs I'm not sure of (as far as whether they belong or not). Is running a virus scan or two enough to resolve this, or do I need to try guerilla warfare on my Add/Remove Programs or...?
Thanks!
