... hmmm
... ok its for xp... now tell us what the model of the pc is...
... thats the make and full model number ... please
... that will be a good start... how long is a piece of string?
Grrrr
"...pentathol makes you sing like a canary"
... got brain freeze

To downoload a device driver you must know the proper name of the device ,for instance my system has Stigma-Tel 7.1 sound and my previous PC had AC97 intergrated sound ,opposed to a PCI sound card . I ended up replacing the intergrated sound with a sound card and it came with a CD that contained the driver and some software for the sound ! You can go to PC Magazine and download the Bel-Arc Advisor a piece of freeware that idendifies all of the hardware and software on your PC . It also willl supply you with the version of your O/S ,your BIOS and Windows updates installed and verify that they are installed properly . Its a piece of freeware that gives you alot of info on your PC . Or you can also simply open the device manager by right clicking on My Computer ,propreties, hardware, device manager . Expand the information and scroll down to sound ,video and game controllers and under that listing it will tell you what type of sound your PC uses ! Once you idetified the type of sound do a google search for a driver for that piticular sound !
Good Luck ,Nick
