Hello there! I have bought a used Dell Diminsion 2400. The guy that I got it from cleared everything from the computer and installed XP. In the process, I believe he removed the sound driver. I can't get sound from my speakers at all. I have went into the system's sound and it is on. So, if someone could help me, that would be great!

As I've recommended many times on this site...go to http://support.dell.com and select Downloads and Drivers. Enter the ST (it's on a white sticker on the back of the tower), select the OS, and you can download the drivers. Start with the Chipset. Then install others as necessary.

If the sometimes numerous driver choices from Dell Support don't work, go to this likn and download Everest Home and it will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about your computer. In your case, when it's installed, you'll want to go to the Multimedia section.
