Hey everyone, I would really appreciate it if you took the time out to read this problem and if possible give me solutions on how to solve it. This problem happened suddenly.
My computer's sound is turned off. The computer's speakers are on and I checked the volume control and everything seemed normal. I checked to make sure everything was plugged in properly into the computer, to my knowledge everything looks normal there too.
Even Itunes is messed up! When I clicked on it, it said "there is a problem with audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly".
So I have no clue on how to solve this and I am hoping one of you do.Thank you for reading, please help !!!

click start, then right click on my computer, then select properties, from the box that appears select the hardware tab, now choose device manager. if you see any yellow questions marks or exclainations marks under the audio device then you will need to reinstall your sound drivers. if not then you can try this.
go into control panel (view as classic mode) select the audio and sound option, under here you will need to check if you audio settings are correct, check the sliders to see if they are all up and NOT muted, also check the drop down menus to see if you have the correct audio/video device selected.
Did you install/uninstall any software just before this happened?

I am no way near computer savvy, so how would I reinstall the audio driver? What caused it to stop working?
I didnt install or unistall any software.. so idk what happened .. im clueless
I really appreciate the help!

Firstly it would be a good idea to check if the audio drivers need reinstalling, do as i said above, go into device manager and check if there are any yellow eclamation or question marks. here is a link to show you how to get into device manager

do this first let us know what you found and then we can advise.

Also check and make sure the Windows Audio service is running.
Right click 'my computer' and select 'services'
Then look for 'Windows Audio' and make sure the service is running (ie: started). If it is not started then right click on the service and select 'start'.J.
