I currently have an eMachines T2792. I wanted to use these speakers: http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836121118

However, I don't think my sound card supports this. It just says AC '97 Audio. The speakers are 5.1 and I have no idea if they will work. Thanks for any help.

Do yourself a Big favor and disable your AC-97 onboard sound and get a sound card. Even a inexpensive Sound Blaster Live card will sound 2000 percent better than the onboard sound. Especially with games. I just upgraded to a Audigy 2 zs card and the sound difference from onboard sound is amazing. I was using a Sound Blaster Live card and it sounds pretty good.

Man finding data on the thing is like finding a... Well any way look at the audio jacks on the back. If it only has 3 jacks then one will be mic in another will be line in and the other will be speaker out. If only one speaker out then don't waste your money on a surround speaker system when it won't support it. You really need to download Everest to get more info on your machine. http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?pid=1&lang=en&pageid=3
Just copy and paste the address to the goto bar. Good luck...

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
