Hey, I have Sophos Anti-Virus, I also have Norton Anti-Virus. They are conflicting with each other so I want to stop Sophos from running on startup (i don't want to un-install it). Can anyone help? Thanx

Hi,
You can disable Sophos very easily in MSCONFIG.
Sophos & Norton AV do not sit well on an XP platform. I would suggest you remove one.
If you have a network, leave as I do, one on each computer and then scan each machine from the other using the network.
This gives you the ability to scan both computers with both programs.
Sophos updates a great deal more frequently than Norton releasing IDE virus signature files for evey new virus found. You can also use their web site to register to receive notification of any new IDE files, keeping you very up to date.

In Run type msconfig, there you can uncheck the item in the start up list, you may have to reboot. Hope this helps
