Solved sony vaio pcg-9j4l problems

Specs: Linux
Its a old sony vaio. It says pcg-frv28 when u open the screen but the bottom of the laptop model sticker states (pcg-9j4l) and has the windows xp home edition sticker next to it.
When I turn it on it loads up windows and I put my password in and it checks out good. Then minutes of course later it tells me that it is having trouble louding the program and wants to send an error message and since I have it connected via ethernet cable to my wifi box it completes the send and then I guess trys again and again but everytime stating the same thing without louding up windows xp. It just shows like a mini background pic acting like it wants to open. So I try to go to the bios by restarting it and holding f12 and it goes to a dos like screen and it tries to loud up the bios I guess but cant. What do I do? I have old family pix and files I need off it and if I can get it to run that would be great cause I have a old zip drive disk from 12 years ago with my high high school animations on it I wanna check out since it looks like it has a zip drive reader on the side.

You said that you enter your password & "it checks out good". Then it says some program can't load? What program?

Try F8 instead of F12. If you get to the menu, choose last known good config. If that doesn't work, choose safe mode with networking. Transfer all the files that you should have backed up years ago, to an external hard drive.
