Sony Vaio Notebook won't boot.

I'm just wondering what the cause might be. My Sony Vaio PG 300 series. Will not boot. It did this morning, but now it will not. When I turn the poser on, the cd rom drive spins up, the fan turns on, and I hear a slight amount of activity from the HDD, but that's it. Could it be a loose connection? If so where? I've tried it plugged in, and running on the battery (tried it in both bays). Any sugestions?
Notebooks are not the easiest things to fix but check connections & CPU, vid & Ram seat. Be careful some of the plastic case parts are hard to find or $$ if damaged.

I've tried disassembling it to get at the CPU and power connections to no avail. Vaios are not too easy to take apart.
