My Sony Vaio laptop has been infected by the virus: Trojan.Win32.Agent.aec. I cannot access the control panel. When I click on an icon I get a message: C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll.exe
Application not found.and when I try to run a programme it always prompts me with the screen "Open With" to state which program to run the file with.
When I try to open WORD, EXCEL, INTERNET EXPLORER from the list of programs I get the error message:
Application not found.HELP!!
My knowledge of the os is almost nil!

ivand, The tools mentioned above are great utilities. However, you must reboot your computer in safe mode in order for the cleaning to be 100% effetive.
To do this.....
1. Reboot your PC
2. Upon boot start pressing the F8 key
3. On the Boot Menu, choose 'Safe Mode'
4. Run all of the tools mentioned above in Safe Mode. Then reboot in normal mode (Windows will choose Normal mode by default), and re-run your scanners again.
