Comment:
I am working on a project and needed to reformat the hardrive and load windows 2000 server. During the process i lost the sony laptop drivers. I went to sony and they will not give the drivers for a non supported OS. I know the XP drivers will work with the 2000 server OS. Does anyone know where I can get the software drivers

not necessarily ... if that would be the case, get the XP drivers and use them with 2k server.
other than that, get your exact system specification and download the drivers from the manufacturer's support page (i.e. broadcom network, ati graphic, etc.)
Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

HWINFO32 will identify the hardware on a up and runnng system. W2K can be installed without all the drivers, it will use generic ones for the hardware required to boot the system.
XP can use W2K drivers generally speaking, not always the other way around........
