I recently lost everything in C drive and when I got everything back the color of my monitor for my windows XP is all of the sudden very dim. What's supposed to be yellow is green, orange looks black and white looks like a dim light grey. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? because I tried raising the color bits to 32 and it still didn't work. Suggestions?

you might have to make some adjustments on the actual monitor, have u tried to change brightness, contrast, then degauss to see if that help at all? besides that i would just try to reinstall and see if that helps, you never know, sorry if this doesn't help

My guess is that one of the electron guns on your monitor is shot. Try using the same monitor with another computer (if you have one) or try another monitor (again if you have one) I would even go as far to say that it is the blue electron gun from your very good color description. Yes I tried all of that and still nothing. Even the IE icon changed color, instead of blue it's purple. I don't have another computer or monitor. if it is the blue electron gun how do I fix it (if possible?) and what/where is it?

i think when it comes to that kind of stuff (electron guns) it has to be serviced, or just replaced, i have not had much dealing with monitors so i hope everything turns out ok

hello goto device manager and remove monitor and reboot if that dont clear it up goto vidio card makers sight and d/l latest xp compatable vidio driver for xp. if still dont work on monitors menu chose deguass and run it.
