Something is wrong with my Active Desktop...

Specs: Windows XP, 2.26GHz/1GB
Something is wrong with my Active Desktop(I don't know what it mean) since I have changed my screen resolution. I have seen the similar question ( ) but I thought that this might be old for me so i created this one.
What Happens:
1. I can't open Help and Support Center
2. Every time I change resolution it gives a warning "Internet Explorer cannot find the Active Desktop HTML file. THis file is needed for your Active Desktop.."

What maybe the cause according to me:
I have recently installed a 3rd party theme something called 'Royale Noir' last night.

System Specifications:
Internet Explorer Version : It is not showing
mhtml.dll version : 7.0.6000.20815
OS Version : XP(SP3)

What do I do? If it would be only a matter for IE then I would manage, but I can't view the Help and Suppot Center as well.

Try restore point.

There is no restore point nearby! I have changed and replaced many thing from that day and I don't want them to be deleted.
