Not too sure what you mean by 'setting up Windows 7' - what exactly are they doing & what effect is it having on your particular system, if any?

Whoever this person is will not thank you when he starts getting lots of Spam whether he is doing something illegal or not, which I somehow doubt

But it is quite possible that the OP is making themselves liable for legal action as a result of defaming the owner of the email address. (Although the mod has now blanked it out it's still visible in the other post.)

Rather than taking this action wouldn't it be better to report it, with any proof, to the appropriate authorities?

Disable the accounts. Change passwords. Get a good security suite enabled. Disable all remote access. Sweep for any vnc or other apps to remote in. Turn off system when not in use. Never use the admin login, make a limited or standard user and only use that. Be sure your password is very long.

smith021 -- If someone, and that's a big IF, is/was able to hack into other people's systems:
• that hacker would not be leaving behind a Hotmail address
• that hacker would not be installing Win7 against people's wishes
• that hacker would select 'victims' a lot more judiciously
• you would not be one of them

Now... what are your intentions?
