Hi folks,

You know, every once in a while, we get new threads asking us for help about why the IE does not display images, and that in place of those images, they get red x in a white box.

Today I was at Java website looking for something else. I accidentally came across what I believe may be the solution to the notorious IE red x syndrome. If this is true (as I believe it is), why hasn't Microsoft posted the info in their Knowledge base?

Click me to read Red X image displayed where the applet should be, applets won't run, courtesy of Java website.

I do get the Red X Error frequently. Also, I have no "Java Plug-In" icon in my Control Panel.

Thanks indigian; I've got the Microsoft Java installed here. I don't get those red "x's", so I guess I'm all set here.

Have a great evening, all.....
