Does any body know what for C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution directory? There is a ReportingEvents.log there.
MAy be is regarding update info! But no patch there as their ortodoxal form (as in the hidden WUTEMP in earlier times). I want to recover that patches and save them on a CD and apply them on anotyher PC and not loose time with download again! BTW I thing my internet connection is slower with updates set on!

On the other hand in event log I receive such message:
Unable to start a DCOM Server: {FB7199AB-79BF-11D2-8D94-0000F875C541}. The error:
"The system cannot find the path specified. "
Happened while starting this command:
"C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" -Embedding
I did a Search for msmsgs.exe and I found it in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution directory .That way with Search because annother copy of it I founn in C:\Program Files\Messenger1\msmsgs.exe wher you can see I rename that messenger dir hoping the system get faster! Why Search companion doesn't work well? I rename C:\Program Files\Messenger1\ in C:\Program Files\Messenger\ and still earch found msmsgs file just in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution directory!!!
