does anyone know how to make a bootable striped array with xp software raid.I have 2 40gig&1 80gig maxtor 133 with a promise ultra 133 tx2 controler.I want to install xp on the striped array, but can it be done by software?

First off software raid is a feature in the server product not the pro product. I think what you mean is how to install XP to a hardware raid set. But you don't mention having a ide raid capable card. If the promise card you mention is raid capable, the manual will tell you how to setup the hardware so the raid array boots. Once it boots its just a matter of installing the OS.
