Fax is on the xp disk already. Why use other stuff? If you insist then use search engine with this phrase. "PCI Soft Data Fax Modem 2/Smart CP " "Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Have you installed the card yet? WinXP should have generic drivers for that card.
