Good Day everyone,
In my company we have a piece of software that can distrubute any application to any workstation in the organization. Say for example, you wanted MS Project installed on a computer thats on the third floor and you are on the 8th. The old method would be to get a CD and travel to the user's desk and install. Now, we just take the image of the cd and install on the workstation remotly. My question is, are there any products for this for the home ? Has anyone ever heard of this before ?
Have a great day.

At home you aren't buying volume licensing. Many programs that are designed for home use will not remotely install at all. Of course you already know in most cases it is against the software EULA to install on more than one computer.

The only method you can use to solve this is to setup a harddrive or computer and share it out to all your computer at your home. Then you will be able to remotely install software by using remote desktop connection listed under communication in the accesories in the start menu.

I see.
What about what organizations use. The one we use here is in-house created so when we roll out apps its really just a matter of selecting the package and finding the desginated computer. So, forget about home use, is there a enterprise solution for this. The reason i am asking is because i never seen software like this before but to my understanding from a co-worker, software like this have been around since the late 90's.
