soft32 download safety - Oct 29

I reinstalled XP on my computer and then learned that Microsoft no longer has Service Pack 2 available, so I downloaded it from this site: http://www.soft32.com/download_992.... Does anyone know whether the downloaded file is safe to use, that is, virus free? Is soft32.com a trusted site?

I do not know but MS offers SP3 and it contains all of SP2. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/... Bryan

Many thanks for that information! However, I would like to install only SP2 at this time, so I will have to investigate this issue further, that is, the issue of whether I can use the file (SP2) that I downloaded from soft32.
