Mobo is MSI K7T

I've come across the infamous "missing" sndvol32.exe problem with my XP computer.
As it stands, I still can't get the volume control icon back onto the systray. It was there until a recent bootup, and has been gone ever since. The application itself is still on the computer; it's just that I can't get the icon to show up in the systray. When I go to enable the tray icon in the device manager sound properties, XP tells me that sndvol32.exe is not installed. Yada... yada... yada...
Has ANYONE come up with a solution to this problem?
By the way, even though my onboard sound chip is disabled in the BIOS, and the BIOS is set to No Pnp OS, XP still re-installed the uninstalled VIA AC97 drivers, and I have sound on the entire computer. Go figure.
Based on that, I'm sure that this is a VIA sound issue, and even with the very latest drivers, I cannot get the Volume Control back onto the Sys Tray.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks John...
I had searched the MS website already, but obviously I didn't do a very good job of it.
The part that surprised me is that MS says that by default the icon is not displayed.
Hmmm... there was nothing wrong after all. I'm gonna give this a try nonetheless.

I downloaded the instructions from MS.
The interesting part is that the file was already in my system32/dllcache folder the whole time. So instead of following the MS instructions, I simply copied the file into the system32 folder using Explorer, then went to the sounds section of Control Panel, selected "place volume icon in the taskbar", and everything is fine.

Thanks again to John!
