snap in failed to initialize

hello

when i try to run gpedit.msc i get a "snap in failed to initialize; name: group policy"
any ideas what this means and how to fix it?

Go to this site and download the admin pack.This will let you run mmc consoles for Windows 2000 or Net Server.Works great!
