My computer was cleaned and then reloaded w/windows xp professional. The problem, I'm not getting an sound from my speakers. I rec'd msg that I had no sound card, but I was able to hear sound prior to the cleaning, so I must have a sound card. I also rec'd msg that I need sm bus controller, will this make a difference?

Since you (cleaned the computer) I assume you meant formatted you need to go to the ompaqs website and download all the drivers for that board. Look up your computers model number under support and downloads and drivers and download and install them.

God made men and then rested, God made women and none of us has rested since..
