My first XP version was: Build 2505. This one started fast and it's shutdown was also very quick... after that I got Build 2526, which was very slow when shutting down (or restarting) the computer... My computer holds (so it seems) for over 20 seconds, with the following message on screen: 'Running shutdown scripts'. After this he shuts down, but I think it takes way to long. Now I'm running build 2600 and this ones got the same prob. Any ideas???

TIA!!!

try cacheman, download it on www.hotfiles.com, it has a setting wich lowers the time for windows to kill the app. My version is 2600 and shut downs as fast as 2k in my 380MHz amd
