This driving me nuts. Has anyone had this problem. I try logging into my network and XP takes forever to login. My Win98 goes right in... Win2000 the same but XP takes forever. Any direction to speed this up will be much appreciated.

Some things you can do to minimize startup time:
Drag to another location on the Start menu any icons for programs that you don't need to have started each time you start Windows.
Reduce the time to display list of operating system in the Startup and Recovery window.
Freezing up space on your HD.
Deframenting the HD.
Disable scheduled tasks that might be running each time Windows starts.
Hope this helps. Bye

do you have a nic and if yes is it integrated? you might be having a problem with it. disable it in device manager or if it's integrated disable in bios. i've seen slow logins specifically with integrated nics.
