Since the latest virus outbreak blaster & weltia, which were removed xp, has been extremely slow now is there a feature to do a repair with the cd if so do I just boot on the cd and press r for repair or there is an other way to try to repair this.

You probably lost some or have corrupted files from the removal.
Try this first:
Put xp in cd rom
go to start/run
type in cmd
at the prompt type exactly noting the space
sfc /scannow
If that does not do it just set your bios to boot to the cdrom. Put xp disk in and act like you are going to reinstall xp. Let it pass the first r for recovery console.
It will then search for previous versions of windows and highlight it.
It will ask you if you want xp to repair that installation. Choose yes and hit R for repair.
That will fix you up and you wont lose any files except for your windows updates sp1 etc.
Good Luck
