slow internet

since a week I've got a very slow connection. I asked my provider for advice but they told me that there was no problem with the connenction on their part. I've already did a anti-virus and anti-spyware check but there no improvement noticable. I also did a "disk cleanup" and a "disk defragmenter" on the 2 harddisks.

do you have a 2nd computer or laptop to test with your internet connection? If both are slow, it's probably your ISP. You might also be on the Level 3 backbone, which is having problems since their 'feud' with the Cogent network.
