slow internet after defrag

hi, i recently defragged my computer(last defrag was about a month ago) and as soon as the defrag was over, i restarted and and when i went online, my internet is now connecting at 28-35kbs(usually, before defrag, i was connecting at about 45-50kbs with my 56k v.90 modem) did my defrag do something to my isp acces? slow it down? can i get my internet back and running like usual again?? thanx
