Hi, I'm running a Intel Pentium 4 CPU 1.60GHz
224 MB of RAM, Winxp Home ed., with a GeForce2 MX 100/200
my problem is that the reading speed of my harddisk is very slow, and when i'm playing games, the game gets very choppy when trying to process it, constantly. I've reformatted, defrag'ed, disc checked, a number of times, yet it still slows down gameplay........ any suggestions?
-btw i have a very good internet conn. (dl down 5500kb/s - dl up 1000kb/s)

Go to the Display Properties and click Setting/Advanced/Troubleshooting. Then move the "acceleration" slide back one notch.
This should make things run a bit smoother.

I suggest you donwload and run the XP/nvidia refresh rate fix, just do a google search for "XP refresh rate fix".
If you've got the latest detonator drivers installed make sure you get the fix which ends with " mkII".

Thanks guy, but i still get an fps of 6 in games.... but over all i can get up to 50.... but its really annoying getting all thee 6fps spikes.... any idea on how to fix it?

Should i change the virtually memory? or keep at windows recommended, or put to a different number right now i have it at 1536-2000... and i ahve 40GB and 224RAM
