Another poster who didn't bother to post his/her system specs. For all we know, you have a Pentium 166MHz with 64MB RAM. How do you expect to get any help if you don't list your specs?

Summary: First, if you havent done so, run scandisk on thorough then defrag. Other than that i cant tell you anyhting else about the hard drive. Now, for the slow boot up......go to start>Run type in msconfig...
